In typical soccer fan mode several buses have been set on fire and an electronics store looted in Sao Paulo following Brazil’s crushing World Cup defeat to Germany.
Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper said on its website that some 20 buses were torched on Tuesday. Another three buses were set ablaze in other parts of the city.
When asked to verify if this was associated to the soccer match the police had this to say: “This is under investigation”.
European soccer fans have been known to kill each other and even players after match losses so burning buses seem to be on the lighter side of life.
