When you think of V6 engines, you might think of your car and that huge metal chunk sitting underneath your car’s bonnet. However YouTube Al Zh has decided that maybe engines made out of metal just doesn’t make sense, which is why he has decided to create a miniature V6 engine that is constructed from paper.
Yup, you read that right, a working V6 engine built out of paper which you can see for yourself in the video above. Zh is well known for creating miniatures but we have to admit that after seeing the rest of the his videos, this miniature paper-made V6 engine has to be one of the coolest DIY projects we’ve ever seen.
So how does it work? Basically it relies on a fan-like mechanism which will pump compressed air to the cylinders. According to Zh, this project took him a good two weeks to complete, with the device largely created from paper, cardboard, and a bit of superglue to hold it all together.“When I have an inspiration, I can spend all my free time on modeling.”
Unfortunately for those who are hoping to build a paper V6 engine of their own, you’re out of luck as Zh will not be posting his instructions online, so maybe if you are so inclined, feel free to rewatch the YouTube video and maybe you’ll be able to glean the necessary information needed to make one yourself.
