“As with a fireworks show, you want to save your best for last.” said Greenwald the journalist Edward Snowden has relied on to publish his leaked NSA docs…

“The last one is the one where the sky is all covered in spectacular multicolored hues,” Greenwald has hinted that the finishing piece of Snowden’s legacy is yet to come. By the ‘finishing piece’ he implies his plans to publish names of US citizens who have been snooped by their own government.

>NBC has revealed that it’s airing a one-on-one interview between Snowden and news anchor Brian Williams on May 28th at 10PM Eastern. While the network isn’t saying exactly what came up in the pre-recorded conversation, it promises a “revealing” hour-long session that involves Snowden’s media ally Glenn Greenwald.

“When it comes to domestic spying, who have been the NSA’s specific targets? Are they political critics, dissidents and activists, or actual terrorists? What are the metrics behind choosing those targets and what is done with the surveillance that is conducted? Greenwald expressed concerns over the abilities of the US intelligence system in preventing Snowden while stealing data as huge as 1.7 million documents and yet go undetected. He also pointed at the failure of the intelligence and the government in safeguarding the data as well as their limited success in figuring out the lost data.

“There this genuinely menacing spy system and yet they are really inept about how they operate it. Not only was he out there under their noses downloading huge amounts of documents without being detracted, but to this day, they’re incapable of finding out what he took,” said Greenwald.

Recently, Greenwald released his new book, ‘No Place to Hide,’ which is based on Edward Snowden’s revelations as well as the story behind his leaks.
