BBC Staff ordered to stop airing climate change debates.

In a report published Thursday by the BBC Trust, the network’s journalists were criticized for devoting too much airtime to people with different viewpoints about certain issues (especially this one) in an attempt to provide editorial balance. The U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in September released a report concluding with 95 percent certainty, that man-made climate change is happening.

However, a quick Google search about the IPCC reveals that the IPCC does not actually *conduct* any research. According to its own website, the IPCC “does not conduct any research nor does it monitor climate related data or parameters.”

Despite what some people will assert, the science behind climate change, albeit real and man-made, is not entirely settled. More research needs to be conducted by unbiased third parties not tied to any government special interest groups. Even if you wholeheartedly disagree with another human being’s viewpoint, ignoring the opposition is a great way to promote confirmation bias – especially on an issue which has been demanding billions of dollars of taxpayer money for years.
